Maqsam Introduces Arabic Speech Recognition

Maqsam launched an Arabic ASR engine built to handle the region's spoken dialects, not just classical Arabic, accounting for MENA's varied pronunciations and phonetics. The company reports outperforming Google, Microsoft, and other regional competitors in dialect transcription accuracy.

Maqsam's CEO, Sinan Taifour, credited the milestone to Maqsam's regional engineering team, framing it as a step toward ensuring MENA isn't left behind in the global AI race.
